Being a medico is not about studies and studies.
Ever wondered what are the sacrifices people undertake, to become a doctor in a country like India? It drains a student psychologically, financially, and physically.
During this crisis time in one such scenario, my education is at stake.
I am Jaideep Darkunde, hailing from Aurangabad, Maharashtra, India. I am a 22-year-old medical student who is facing a huge economical crisis. I am a 3rd-year MBBS student, in Rural Medical College, Loni of Pravara Institute of Medical Sciences (Deemed to be University).
During the admission process of this college, the family income was strong enough to support my education. But for a year and a half, there is a heavy worldwide market recession hence there was no customer order. Also, much of the investments were not recovered from the market. This resulted in a huge loss in the small-scale business. Since March 2020, the total business has been shut down due to the COVID-19 crisis. Near and distant future is also looking bleak.
With huge losses in business and no other income source, my family can not pay bank loan installments, education fees, and bills. The only earning person of my family, my father is unable to support the family or my education. The family is already under a burden of 2 crore rupees because of the failure of the industry. Also, Banks has denied any loan which threatens my future education.
Hence, I request you to support my education by any means you can. It's a financial emergency as my degree will be in trouble if the tuition fees can't be covered.
I appreciate your consideration. With your assistance, I can continue my medical education to bring affordable healthcare to those who need it the most.
