Note: 2-year-old Yarlnila suffers from Opsoclonus Myoclonus Ataxia Syndrome, a rare life-threatening condition. Her parents don’t have money to continue her treatment and need your help.
Mr. Ragubathi who is the only breadwinner of his family earns by working for daily wages. His wife Mrs. Susila is a home maker and taking care of two children. Even with this low financial status, they all where trying to be happy with what they get. Yarlnila grew up watching her parents struggle. There were days when they cooked only a little food just for their daughters and slept hungrily. “I’ll study hard so that I get a good job and take care of my parents without starving,” she’d think. However, her dream soon crushed when she started falling ill frequently.
Her parents first visited to government hospital and they diagnosed her with Opsoclonus Myoclonus Ataxia Syndrome for which the Medicine was not easily available. The doctors tried to get the medicine. But, the parents got afraid of their daughter's condition and treated her privately by spending Rs. 60,000 for her first injection. They thought that she might be cured. Even after several treatment, she is not completely recovered.
So, recently they took her to KG hospital where the doctors told she can be recovered adequately by giving Intravenous Immunoglobulin - 3 doses of 40 grams in 4 weeks interval.
This will cost around Rs. 180000
“I have lost all faith in God. why is he doing this to my Daughter? I haven’t felt this weak in my entire life where I can just stand and see my daughter suffering like this. We don’t even have the courage to tell her that her parents are not even capable of saving her life,” says Susila, as tears well up in her eyes.
