Finally Venkatachalam Discharged from hospital yesterday with good health. Thanks to everyone help us to save venkatachalam.
Venkatachalam and his father just as they are leaving hospital today. He had a critical time and had to have a pacemaker put midway. He is absolutely fine today and discharged.
Venkatachalam still in ICU post surgery. His health conditions is stable and he will shifted to normal ward in a week time as per the doctors instructions. We will post you pic once he shifted to normal ward.

Venkatachalam admitted in hospital on Saturday last week.we are waiting for doctors date to do operation. Hopefully we will complete the operation of venkatachalam this week. we will keep you updated about the operation date and operation status.
Venkatachalam’s parents Varadarajan and Kuppaiyi reside in Namakkal where they work for a daily wage in the weaving Industry. Every time Venkatachalam has to undergo a surgery, his mother, Kupaayi, has to give up working. They have two daughters older to Venkatachalam – all studying in the local government school, as all the money they earn is spent on check ups every six to eight months for Venkatachalam.
This will be Venkatachalam’s third procedure.
His first two surgeries were also at MIOT Hospitals, aided through CHIME.
In the recent check up, Venkatachalam has been diagnosed to have S/p repair of Truncus Arteriosus, Truncal Valve Replacement,
Presently diagnosed to have Calcification and obstruction of RV-PA conduit, Severe LVOT obstruction due to Pannus formation over the arortic prosthesis
He is advised to undergo Redo Open Heart Surgery: Replacement of RV-PA conduit+ Replacement of aortic valve prosthesis for correction of the same.
Estimate Cost – 400000/- (Rs. Four Lacs only) including surgery, ICU & Hospital stay, Post op investigations and medication.
Venkatacham is in the fourth standard, goes to the local Government school and is rated a good student. He is very articulate and active. When asked why he is here, he told me “I have a heart problem”.
